What You Will Do

The Strategic Marketing Partnerships and Promotions team is responsible for the developing and executing tactics that are collaborative programs with external media, broadcast, synergy marketing and alliance partners. Programs can include live broadcasts and productions, media (Radio/TV) promotions as well as regional and national programs and sweepstakes.   • Partner with key internal stakeholders including Parks Brand Strategy, Customer Engagement, Public Relations/Public Affairs, Social/Digital Marketing, Corporate Alliances, Events, Operations, CPGP, and DX Synergy teams to ensure that promotional activity is meeting the strategic objectives for Disney Experiences (Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line) and within operational guidelines.
  • Analysis of project business results, project tracking, project recaps, and ad hoc projects that require data analysis.
  • Develop campaign recaps and post-mortem documents for management team.
  • Work on the creative development of projects including Yellow Shoes Creative Group, Broadcast Production, Alliance and Synergy Partner creative agencies, writing creative briefs, and assisting with creative reviews.
  • Package and disseminate all creative toolkits to third-party businesses for development of promotional creative.
  • Obtain all proper approvals (Creative, Legal, Brand, Business Affairs) for promotions and projects.
  • Media Remote and Event coordination including working with special events and park operations partners for planning and production logistics.
  • Assist in efforts supporting our Orlando Magic, Orlando City and Orlando Pride Soccer sponsorship tactic executions.
  • Conduct industry research (and research summaries) on best practices that relate directly to media programs and partnership marketing for Walt Disney World.
  • Provide cross-functional support for Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line & Disneyland programs.
  • Assist in recapping team meetings and partnership calls/meetings
  • Stay abreast on marketing and media trends/culture

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Leadership & interpersonal skills, teamwork and collaboration abilities; excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience interacting with outside agencies, partners and media.
  • An eye and understanding for creative execution as it applies to consumer insights
  • Previous experience or educational background in marketing, advertising, or broadcast communications strongly preferred; at a minimum, demonstrated passion for understanding and meeting consumer needs through robust strategic and creative thinking.
  • Proven record of execution success; ability to deliver results on strategy, time, and budget; attention to detail.
  • Excellent attitude and disposition; comfortable with ambiguity; bias for action; ability to smartly navigate organizations and build relationships.
  • Passion for the Disney product, Disney Parks and Resorts, travel and leisure, entertainment, production and media.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling, presentation and research skillset with an understanding of how to effectively communicate to different audiences
  • Ability to manage and complete projects with competing timelines
  • Ability to collaborate with others, accept feedback, and enthusiastically perform a wide range of tasks.
  • Strong Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Skills.
  • Detail-oriented, strong self-initiative and ability to prioritize responsibilities.
  • High level of energy with strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Interest and knowledge of video production and new media.
  • A valid US driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Spoken and written proficiency in Spanish.
  • Previous work experience with The Walt Disney Company.

Education

  • To be eligible for this internship you must be a senior or recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or closely related field.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: 

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program. 
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • This internship is a primarily on-site position - Must be able to provide a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
  • Program length - The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 - June 2025
  • Work details - Must be able to work FULL TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship
  • Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
