Job Description Summary

The 2025 Summer Internship program will run from May - August 2025.

Job Description

•    Develops manufacturing equipment purchase proposals by studying manufacturing plans and commitments; evaluating manufacturing processes and requirements
•    •Recommends new manufacturing equipment by identifying vendors and operating equipment, evaluating equipment capabilities and service history; evaluating vendor service and support
•    Completes equipment cost projections by analyzing investment, return, and savings
•    Monitors equipment installations by advising crews
•    Meets production requirements by designing equipment modifications as needed
•    Prepares equipment operators by conducting training; providing reference and support resources
•    Maintains process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines

•All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

•    Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
•    Available to work at least 40 hours per week
•    Knowledge of MS Office Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word)
•    Interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills 
•    Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
•    Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment
•    Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. AAM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship (e.g., H1-B, TN, STEM OPT, F-1, etc.) for this role.
