About the Role

This job opening for an experienced Business Analyst falls under the Data Portal Squad within the Data & Services Tribe at Swift.

The mission of the Data Portal Squad is to build a one-stop-shop of data analytics insights for our financial community to achieve greater business outcome.

Day-to-day work would involve liaising with business stakeholders and translating high-level requirements into more technical specifications for medium-to-large size/complexity projects ensuring business problems are solved in a coherent and scalable manner.

Proven experience in gathering requirements from business stakeholders and comprehending intricate business processes is a must, as is knowledge of data models (conceptual, logical and physical) and UML notation.

Education

University degree in Computer Science, electronic engineering or equivalent.

Post-graduate in Marketing / MBA or equivalent is an asset.

Experience

Requires 3 to 6 years experience working in a similar role.

Experience in a similar industry as well as knowledge of Enterprise Business Intelligence tools (for example MicroStrategy) are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

01 . Plan the definition, analysis, validation and maintenance of business (and functional) requirements and processes for large size/complexity/system risk projects by working in close liaison with customers and other departments and in line with evolving business demand.

02 . Propose solutions to technical and/or business problems in relation to the current and future business environment.

03 . Provide relevant business and functional knowledge during all phases of the implementation and resolve unique and complex business problems, recognizing technical constraints.

04 . Produce and maintain conceptual models and business processes in accordance with the adopted methodology.

05 . Understand technological trends in own area of responsibility and apply this knowledge to bring solutions to the customers.

06 . Assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.

07 . Plan the business process (re)design and documentation when needed.

08 . Interface with the Product Owner and the other squad members (typically software engineers and testers) in order to secure the delivery for the business stakeholders.

09 . Conduct presentations/demos on process enhancements and/or alternatives.
