Job Summary
The Central Supply Technician is responsible for supplying stocked inventory items and maintaining appropriate supplies in all stocking locations throughout the UMC hospital and assigned campuses.

Job Specific Responsibilities
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:
• Forecast the amount of supplies needed to order for each refill location
• Review refill reports and replenish each supply to pre-determined par levels
• Notify appropriate management persons when supplies are not available for distribution
• Preform responsibilities related to charging supply items to appropriate department cost center
• Deliver materials needed on demand, when requested
• Manage stocking locations, inventory, and cycle count of supplies monthly
• All other assigned duties related to Central Supply
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Required Licensures/Certifications/Registrations
N/A
Skills and Abilities
• Good math and counting skills
• Clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Good time management skills
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
This position has much interaction with all hospital departments
Physical Capabilities
Demands of this role will include heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, and bending. Should be able to lift up to 100 pounds and climb heights up to 8 feet. The position requires extended walking and standing on concrete surface.
