Job Summary

We are looking for analytical and strategic Lead Business Analyst to support the development and continuous improvement of our Capital Markets Product and Pricing technology platform. This role will drive key initiatives that enhance systems supporting Product and Pricing, Lock Management, and Point of Sale. The ideal candidate will have domain expertise in mortgage capital markets or Fintech, with a strong ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable system requirements and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Capital Markets, Lock Desk, Product Development, and Technology teams to gather and document business and system requirements.
  • Analyze existing business and technology workflows to identify opportunities for automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead discovery sessions, gap analyses, and process mapping to support enhancements to pricing and lock management systems.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories for development teams.
  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of user interfaces and APIs.
  • Conduct impact assessments and risk analyses for proposed changes.
  • Collaborate with QA and business users to execute user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Assist in developing training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer to operational teams.
  • Monitor post-deployment performance and support ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on capital markets pricing and margin management systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of business analysis experience, including at least 3 years in the mortgage industry.
  • Proven experience in a Fintech environment, particularly with digital mortgage platforms, pricing engines, or capital markets automation.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, Postman, system integrations, and data mapping.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, CONCATENATE, conditional formatting, pivot tables).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of mortgage pricing, margin management, pooling, and investor delivery workflows.
  • Experience with pricing engines (e.g., Optimal Blue, Polly, Lender Price, MCT), loan trading platforms, and rate sheet generation tools.
  • Familiarity with APIs and LOS/PPE system connectivity.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, CFPB).
  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven pricing models or digital trading platforms in a Fintech setting.
