As the Global Security Awareness Manager, you will directly impact the overall security posture of Micron by focusing on one of the most critical elements of a company’s security portfolio—the people! You will build the security awareness strategy for the organization and guide the program team in development of global awareness campaigns and programs. Your main responsibility is to lead cultural change. The mission is to educate and enable Micron’s employees and contractors to perform their jobs securely. This position will ensure distributed team members are appropriately educated on enterprise and regulatory security requirements through awareness and training.

Critical thinking and organizational change management are core skills in this role to effect positive change and a security culture mentality shift for the enterprise. This is a people management role with strategic program leadership responsibility that relies heavily on teamwork and partnership with not only peers in the security organization, but business leaders, collaborators, and global support teams.

The ideal candidate must be able to manage team members on multiple activities at once, set priorities, and pivot to new tasks quickly. You should be comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Collaboration with peers, leaders and global counterparts is required. Crafting, presenting and implementing the right program and processes across the global enterprise are key to this position.

What’s Encouraged Daily:

  • Develop and manage the Global Security Awareness Program to ensure team members at all levels across the enterprise understand the principles of cyber security, physical security, and the protection of intellectual property (IP)
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of interactive awareness campaigns and corresponding reporting capabilities
  • Craft company-wide and targeted communications as required for awareness, change management or operational needs
  • Develop a detailed understanding of security as it applies to Micron assets
  • Leverage various formats and delivery channels to achieve awareness and education goals
  • Leverage vendor solutions to optimally deliver awareness and training (e.g., Phishing awareness and training)
  • Build training programs for the global team members and improve the Security team communication portfolio

How To Qualify:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience 
  • 5 plus years of direct experience in development and delivery of communications and/or learning content (preferably in IT, Information Security or Cybersecurity)
  • Executive level content creation and message delivery
  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong project/program management skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop working business relationships and trust
  • Working in similar positions for global companies
  • Building and running a comprehensive training and awareness programs
  • Leading a global group of team members
  • Solid understanding of organizational change management approaches, frameworks, and methodologies
  • Be able to travel 5% to 10%

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$107,000.00 - $240,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
