Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few.
Walmart is looking to add a Director of Product Analytics to its team. As the Director of Product Analytics, you will be responsible for building and growing the team of analytics professionals across our data analytics team. You will focus on building a strong analytics data driven culture, establish strong experimentation, dash-boarding and insights competencies – and via that deliver outstanding customer and business outcomes. You will be strategic and willing to roll up the sleeve and get the job done when needed.

Do you have the technical skills to surface insights quickly, and the interpersonal skills to communicate those insights in a way that persuades action? Are you a thought leader with wealth of experience in building and delivering analytics products solutions in e-commerce and retail domains?
What you'll do:
Drive the product analytics charter. Own all analytics OKRs.
Serve as thought leader and trusted advisor to Product leadership and the larger product management team by collaborating with them through the entire product lifecycle from discovery, A/B testing, to post launch insights and learnings.
Define key metrics and lead monitoring of these to measure product performance and monitoring product health.
Leverage clickstream and user behavior data to identify opportunities for improving customer experience and influence product roadmaps. Perform conversion analysis, funnel analysis, impact sizing to influence decision-making.
Lead the product analytics team to design and execute experiments, observational inference and predictive analytics to identify and quantify the impact of new product feature as an ongoing discipline to constantly improve product features and provide better experiences for customers across all platforms such as Desktop, Mobile, etc.
Combine data, experimentation & analysis driven insights and deliver actionable recommendations that address opportunities for product improvements.
Mentor and coach team members in achieving best-in-class analytics outcomes and handle multiple products and initiatives.
Interface with product, engineering & business stakeholders across multiple geographies to proactively identify opportunities, develop business acumen, cultivate stakeholder relationships & develop best in class data analytics solutions.
Successfully cultivate relationship cross functional group consisting of Product, Engineering, Program managers and data science to drive data-based decisions.

Solid experience in building and delivering analytics products solutions in e-commerce and retail domains. Consummate storyteller– is adept at data-based storytelling.
Expertise in building and leading high performing analytics teams in complex matrix organizations.
Growth mindset and passion for continual learning, exhibit a high level of curiosity, enjoy digging deep into complex problems, and have a strong interest in exploring and understanding datasets beyond surface-level analysis. This role requires an individual always eager to learn new techniques, tools, and methodologies in data analytics and apply them to their work.
Strong ability to understand and influence the business and good stakeholder management capabilities. You have a strong bias towards action, enjoy finding patterns amidst chaos, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive business impact
Strong experience in using analytics tools for visualization, measurement and experimentation such as Tableau, Looker, Adobe Analytics, Splunk, etc.
Strong hands-on experience in multi million records of data using SQL based querying languages (SQL, Big query)
Strong experience in setting up and scaling experimentation practices; Seasoned practitioner of statistical analysis – descriptive as well as inferential (hypothesis testing) statistics and predictive analytics (segmentation, regression, forecasting) to solve business problems
Prior experience in consulting/consumer focused technology companies is a plus; Prior experience in customer analytics is a plus; Prior experience in causal inference is a plus

Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
