JOB SUMMARY
The Machining Process Engineer is specifically focused on the machining processes including Turning, Milling, and Grinding, both Manual and CNC. Leads continuous improvement projects to reduce rework, improve efficiency and increase throughput in the departments. Creates standard operating procedures for production to operate the processes effectively.
This role requires a strong technical background along with project management experience with a continuous improvement mindset. The Process Engineer must be able to work independently and as part of a team to identify and deliver thoroughly tested solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Through our extensive in-house training program, the successful applicant will be instructed via a series of computer based and hands-on training, the necessary skills of the position.
1. Evaluate issues with repair processes, engine components, and approved technical data. Resolve process problems to improve processes economically while still maintaining quality.
2. Work with Production Department Managers to establish and execute plans to reduce rework and improve the quality rating of CRT's repair processes. Review processes and repairs to improve efficiency and turn time of components.
3. Develop and/or revise work instructions to facilitate production. Develop and/or revise tooling and fixturing to facilitate production. Assist with specification and implementation of new materials, processes, or technologies.
4. Ensure process quality and testing requirements are being met using FAA approved technical data and/or industry standards.
5. Communicate at a high-level regarding repair processes, problem solving, quality improvement, and process development. Assist in training of other employees per company or industry standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 4-year (bachelor's) degree in an engineering or technical field (B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc.) from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience).
2. Ability to understand and interpret complex technical documentation including OEM repair manuals, FAA regulations, and blueprints.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
1. Strong written and oral communication skills. Able to work effectively with other engineers and technicians as well as the ability to convey complex technical concepts to all levels of the organization.

6. Problem solving and analytical skills, capable of rapidly identifying and resolving technical issues.
7. Experience with process implementation and continuous improvement.
8. Ability to design tooling and fixturing including GD&T, methods of construction, and material selection.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
1. This position has pre-employment testing requirements that may require fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.
2. Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
3. Work in difficult positions from time to time. Stand and/or sit for portions of the shift. Move parts (>50 pounds) using hoists, slings, carts, or other handling methods. Move less heavy parts (<50 pounds) with or without hoists, slings, or carts.
4. Occasionally use powered and non-powered hand tools.
