For Linklaters Service Delivery Centre Warsaw, we are currently recruiting for the KYC/AML Specialist role.

Your role

This is a dynamic and varied role in a supportive and friendly global team. 

You will be part of the firm’s Legal & Risk function which has around 100 team members across our global network. The role focusses on managing the firm’s risk in relation to new business acceptance including conducting client due diligence (“CDD”) processes, risk assessments of clients and advising and collaborating with the firm’s lawyers on Financial Crime processes and controls.

Key responsibilities and challenges

  • Carrying out systematic Client Due Diligence checks and Risk Assessment on new and existing clients of the firm including an appropriate assessment of reputational risks;
  • liaising with the firm’s lawyers on Client Due Diligence and Risk Assessment procedures;
  • responding to local regulatory audits on the firm’s Financial Crime compliance, including rectification of any quality issues;
  • generating Financial Crime compliance reports;
  • supporting the firm’s sanctions compliance by screening parties against various sanctions lists;
  • becoming proficient in the use and development of the firm's Financial Crime record keeping systems and specifically the firm's Business Risk Assessment Tool;
  • participation in ad-hoc projects in relation to the firm’s Financial Crime compliance as assigned by the Team Leader or the Manager.

Your experience and skills

  • Fluent English;
  • Min. 1-2 years of professional experience in AML environment, preferably in an international law firm;
  • Understanding of all aspects of KYC and Compliance;
  • Good command of MS Office (Excel is a must), familiar with searching databases and searching conventions;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Hard-working and flexible with a "can do" attitude;
  • Team-oriented and able to promote good team spirit;
  • Systematic, well-organised and attentive to detail;
  • Able to work on own initiative and prioritise efficiently;
  • Good at developing relationships with lawyers and staff at all levels;
  • Strong written and oral communications skills and ability to communicate effectively;
  • Good problem solver; able to offer knowledgeable, practical, and creative solutions.

Location

  • Warsaw - hybrid working model with 2 days per week at the office

Working hours

  • Shifts: 8:00 – 16:15 and 11:00 – 19:15
