The Opportunity
As a Biomedical/Biotechnology Engineer you will be responsible for providing expert support and advise on the use of the Abbott Medical Devices portfolio within the assigned territory - different locations in Spain.
What You’ll Work On:
Provide expert clinical consultation, teaching and support on the medical device products and their appropriate application in the hospital (operating rooms).
Maintain up to date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices, as well as a general understanding of the dynamics of the country healthcare market; discuss industry-specific flagship products and services.
Resolve common customer problems and respond to unexpected customer requests with a sense of urgency and positive action.
Provide technical support to the medical devices salesforce; proactively communicate information and discuss product placement and complex case support with sales team; discuss whole range of Abbott medical device products and services with physicians/hospital staff.
Understand the business priorities of internal and external clients, awareness of sales targets and trends, marketing messaging and describe desired or actual business results in measurable scales or terms.
Required Qualifications:
B.S degree preferably in Sciences/BS in (Medical) Engineering. (Biomedical Engineer - Prefer)
Ideally electrophysiology/cardiac rhythm management clinical experience or in an equivalent role within industry.
Familiarity with catheter lab and operating room procedures and protocol and strong cardiac anatomy & physiology knowledge preferred.
Strong communicator with active listening skills and questioning techniques.
A willingness to travel 50% of the time and ability to work autonomously; adapting work schedule to procedures’ duration and coping with irregular/uneven work days. Driving license (at least 1 year)
