•     Location: Chicago, IL

•     Full Time/Part Time: Full time, 40 hours

•     Hours: 4 10 hour shifts: M-F 9a-7p, alternating weekends S-S 8a - 6p

•     Required Travel: local

What you will need:

•     License: IEMA licensing required

•     Education: Certificate or Associate’s degree from an accredited radiology program

•     Certification: CPR certification required. ARRT registry eligible required within 1 year of employment

•     Experience: Previous radiology experience preferred

•     Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required

What you will do:

  • Be cross trained in the areas of phlebotomy and medical assisting- will assist in all MA responsibilities up to 70% of the time
  • Performs radiographic examinations for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury, in accordance with departmental standards, policies and procedures.
  • Consistently works independently and operates all equipment with minimal assistance to performance procedures.
  • Has basic knowledge of HIS/RIS/PACS.
  • Must be able to fit in add-ons, stat cases and inpatients in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Completes all paperwork and submits images in a timely manner.
  • Acts as a receptionist as needed and answers phone with proper etiquette.
  • Assists in printing films and retrieval of reports, training of new technologist personnel and students, transporting of patients as needed.
  • Reviews radiographs to ensure optimum quality.
  • Reports environmental/equipment problems to appropriate resource personnel
