COMPENSATION

Annual Minimum - Maximum

$85,000.00 - $115,000.00

The Interments Supervisor will supervise all interment work, including but not limited to ground interments, wall crypt entombments, lawn crypt interments, and niche placements. This individual is responsible for overseeing the placement of cemetery accessories, including but not limited to flower vases and memorial tablets. The Interments Supervisor is additionally responsible for quality control of all services provided by the maintenance interment crew.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 

  • Be knowledgeable of any new developments in the field of cemetery operations.
  • Constantly seek methods and procedures that will enhance the overall interment experience for client families.
  • Responsible for the accurate layout of interment locations prior to opening spaces to ensure client satisfaction and compliance with legal requirements. Diligent in verifying to ensure there are no errors in this critical function.
  • Verify the interment space and team are ready for service time.
  • Ensure all equipment is in safe operating order for both employees and clients.
  • Oversee the placement of memorial tablets.
  • Assist with new development projects, special events and other various programs.
  • Conduct training for all employees in all aspects of interment operations, including but not limited to equipment operation and general industry safety orders.
  • Meet with client families whenever issues or concerns arise. Quick resolution of complaints is essential to this supervisory role.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies, tools, materials, and personal protective equipment required for cemetery (Interment) operations.
  • Perform other duties as needed or required. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid California Driver License.
  • Physical lifting requirement of 100lb.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Experience with heavy-duty equipment, company vehicles, including but not limited to autos, trucks, and earth-moving equipment.

DRUG TESTING POLICY

Prior to beginning employment, all job applicants who receive a job offer will be required to voluntarily submit to a drug screening test conducted by a laboratory designated by Forest Lawn. The drug screening method is a hair collection test that will detect the use of illegal drugs within the past 90 days. A positive drug test may result in the withdrawal of the job offer.

Forest Lawn has registered to participate in the federal government's E-Verify program.
