This is an IT Lead Business Analyst for FX Risk technology; you will be a part of the FX Risk application team. The team is responsible for the strategic development of the RACr application, Citi’s core platform for real-time derivatives pricing, risk management, and data analytics.

FX Risk Business Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical, and clear way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects and foster communication between business leaders and IT
  • Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple teams and other units to meet organizational objectives.
  • Ownership for assigned projects, managing, coordination of execution plans, from the inception till production stage. Develop & curate detailed technology work plans, schedules, estimates, assess and report upon risks and status.
  • Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standards.
  • Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high impact projects.
  • Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
  • Provide in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decision.
  • Distil complex information and present in concise terms to inform decision making and to enable direction & issue resolution.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Experience and Qualification:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience working in financial industry.
  • Knowledge of FX and/or Rates or other Derivatives products.
  • Understanding Trade Capture and Risk management is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record of business analysis experience.
  • A proven ability of using complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Project management skills, SDLC, Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodology.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven interpersonal skills, partnership, and influence across organizational lines.
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with a global team, across geographies and time zones.
  • Data analysis with intermediate/advanced Python, SQL, Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Computer Science, Engineering or Technical background is an advantage.
