Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4/5) to join the Apache Production & Fielding team in Mesa, AZ.
The selected candidate will lead cross functional teams and work directly with the US Army customer to acquire new scope on our Multi-Year I & II programs as well as directly support the acquisition of our next production contract for the AH-64 E-Model Apache. This is a critical Apache program role that receives high visibility from Boeing and Army leadership.
While this is a US Army Program role, this program leader will lead and support common Apache program objectives that span across Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. The Apache program is looking for a strong, adaptive leader to apply their background and expertise to the dynamic world of Attack Helicopter Programs.
Position Responsibilities:
Oversees, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for highly complex or difficult projects, programs and change driven activities to execute in accordance with project management industry standards.
Directs and provides high level studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), determines scope, reports, and oversight of planning requests.
Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
Develops and executes the process and strategy for the integration of plans and schedules.
Consults and recommends integrated planning, scheduling, change and baseline management, processes, techniques and tools to management considered to be best practices across the industry.
Recognized as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders.
Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project
10+ years' experience communicating with internal and external customers
10+ years’ experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Master’s degree or higher
Experience with Apache Acquisition, Contracting, and Proposal Management
Experience working closely with the US Military
Experience identifying and documenting Risks, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO)
Knowledge of Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
