Where We Need You

We are looking for an Analyst to join our team in Chicago. Protiviti works in a hybrid environment and this role requires that you work in-person in our office several times per week. 

What You Can Expect

As an Analyst, you will be responsible for executing various assignments within the finance process to support our regional programs. You should have a passion for understanding and interpreting periodic financial data partnering with a collaborative team.

What You Will Be Doing

· Develop and utilize comprehensive financial workbooks to support decision-making processes.

· Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to help guide business strategy.

· Provide accurate financial reports detailing company performance metrics.

· Analyze large datasets to identify trends and present actionable insights.

· Monitors regional budget and analyzes variances.

· Collaborate and foster relationships cross-functionally to broaden your understanding of how Protiviti operates and translate that to financial performance.

· Support request for ad-hoc data for leadership, regarding financial performance or other relevant finance information.

· Learn and be a steward of our financial policies.

What Will Help You Be Successful

· Industry-specific knowledge for FP&A within the professional services industry, including understanding of project-based revenue, resource allocation, client profitability analysis, time tracking and utilization and revenue recognition principles.

· Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting with an ability to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies in financial data.

· Understanding of basic accounting and finance principles along with ability to understand and interpret financial income statements.

· Exceptional communication skills and confidence to collaborate not only with peers, but also leaders.

· A collaborative approach for effective teamwork within the Finance team as well as cross-functional teams.

· Time management skills to deliver on deadlines without compromising accuracy or diligence and the ability to be flexible with shifting priorities.

· Interest in exploring AI tools and other modern technology to increase productivity.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.

· 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related business field.

· Strong proficiency in Excel including basic and complex formulas and functions, to assist with data analysis.

· Technological proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Excel and Power BI

· Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g. CPA, CFA or CMA), preferred.

Our Hybrid Workplace

Protiviti operates in a hybrid work environment, meaning all employees are expected to achieve a blend of in-person and remote work. The expected ratio of remote to in-person work will vary by team and other business factors. Local and/or out-of-state travel is required based on our project and internal client commitments.

Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.

$58,000.00 - $87,000.00

Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.

The total cash range is estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity. Below is the estimated total cash range for this job.

$60,900.00 - $91,350.00

Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverages, FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave up to 10 weeks, and short/long term disability. We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions. We provide Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) varies based on years of service. New hires receive up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. Protiviti also recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
