Job Summary:

The Reporting Analyst will play a key role in analysis and reporting of the Retail P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, and as part of the Retail Finance team, will be responsible for timely and accurate reporting & analysis of Actuals, Budgets and Forecasts for the Retail division.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Active support in month end reporting - data upload into HFM, SAP vs HFM reconciliation, preparation of consolidated Retail P&L, providing accuracy of results and adherence to deadlines
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of the Monthly Business Review (MBR) pack - balance sheet and cash flow slides with commentary
  • Participation in Reconciliation of Intercompany counterparty invoices and statements
  • Assist in Monthly forecast preparation & submission in HFM (balance sheet, cashflow and P&L)
  • Supporting the annual Retail budget submission, to ensure HFM and BW submission deadlines are adhered to, and that supporting analysis packs are timely and in line with Group requirements
  • Building strong working relationships with Group Finance to answer queries when they arise
  • Working with the Commercial Accountants to ensure the accuracy of data in SAP
  • Business partnering with Contract Account teams and Centre of Excellence budget holders to understand those contracts & become key point of reporting & analysis at month end & budget time
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement in relation to key controls, processes and models /templates used within the reporting function
  • Ad hoc participation in other finance projects
  • Involvement with Year End and Interim external Audits

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s degree preferred; Business, Economics, Math or Engineering majors
  • ACCA/CIMA or local accounting qualified is strongly preferred

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance analysis or reporting role, including profit and loss/balance sheet analysis
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel user
  • Experience of HFM as a reporting and consolidation tool essential
  • Experience of SAP preferred
  • Exposure to multi-currency FX calculations desired

Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)

  • Must possess strong financial and analytical skills including experience creating complex excel spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of HFM essential and SAP preferred
  • Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with management and staff
  • Must demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

Language / Communication Skills:

  • Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
