Provide classroom training and instructional design of specialized curriculum for all areas of the company. Collaborate with managers, directors and the Director of Training and Development to provide the most effective learning solutions as required to meet production standards and organizational business goals.
Essential Functions:
- Develop & deliver training modules for both new and existing employees in home office and in the field on technical (proprietary) software
- Collaborate with Director of Training and Development to create effective curriculum and classroom training solutions
- Design high quality training material that effectively transfers knowledge to staff of the organization
- Audit and analyze performance of trainees/employees to measure success in the classroom and identify training opportunities
- Collaborate to develop and implement departmental solutions to assist in the analysis and ROI of the training function
- Additional Responsibilities
- Provide input/feedback to other Training Department staff
- Complete other clerical tasks as needed for the training classes
- Assist with aligning training initiatives with department and company goals
- Maintain knowledge of the training industry through professional development and industry journals
- Assist with other projects as assigned by management
Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities:
- Must possess Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Willingness to learn instructional design software for both web-based and classroom delivery methods
- Knowledge of Insurance, banking and lending a plus
- Knowledge of adult learning theory
- Knowledge of basic instructional design theory and the application of various training evaluation models
- Knowledge of planning, organizing, and implementing training modules
- Basic understanding of a needs assessment process for training
- Ability to analyze requests and collaborate on learning interventions
- Public speaking skills or classroom presentation skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write professional business documentation using proper formats and grammar
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills appropriate for working with other departments to accomplish objectives
- Ability to take effective action with limited supervision and direction
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changes
- Basic coaching skills with the ability to give constructive performance feedback in an effective way
- Strong organizational skills to include managing priorities, planning activities, attention to detail and follow-up
Experience/Education
- Bachelor's degree in communications, training, education or a related field strongly preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in a customer service or business environment
- Willingness to obtain additional learning & development training or training certifications
