Warehouse operation schedules are constantly adjusted to flight operations. Adjustments are made monthly, weekly, and in many cases, hourly.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees day-to day AGI warehouse and office staff operations to support the safe and timely transportation of cargo within the state and to and from domestic and international locations
  • Responsible for Safety, Security, and Compliance at the SFO warehouse station, which includes providing updates on changes and training to employees
  • Prepare employee payroll data
  • Monitor manpower hours and coordinate schedules to ensure they correspond with the appropriate tonnages and flight delays.
  • Leads, develops, and coaches front line employees and supervisors
  • Ensures the cargo operation follows federal, state and government regulations
  • Audits Cargo practices to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Documents Cargo procedures and creates employee updates, bulletins, and communications
  • Meet with customers on a regular basis to get feedback and monitor satisfaction levels
  • Comply with company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies Make sure paperwork related to the cargo is correct before release
  • Assure proper compliance with local and international laws and regulations
  • Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations
  • Cultivate and manage a team for cargo handling account
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the cargo operations plans to meet account standards
  • Work on all levels in the operation and widely differing groups of people (airlines, agents, and forwarders)
  • Revenue and cost control responsibilities for cargo handling operations
  • Manpower and staffing; Labor distribution for contracts
  • Vendor and facility management
  • Building and equipment maintenance (i.e. forklifts, pallet systems, dock doors, and systems)
  • Inventory control and ordering for warehouse and office supplies
  • Assist the General Manager in everyday operations
  • Report directly to the General Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of supervisor experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Successful completion of required airport badging process and pre-employment drug screen is required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States
