Core One is seeking a Battle Staff Air/Fires Specialist to support the program. This position requires an active Secret clearance with TS/SCI Eligibility. This position is contingent upon contract award. 

Responsibilities:  

  • The BST Air/Fires Specialist shall lead the development of scripting of Air/Fires products in support of operational vignettes and provide academic instruction in the BST Program that coach, mentor, and train MSOC, SOTF and CJSOTF Commanders and staffs in the art and science of Mission Command.

Requirements:

  • 10-year prior military service.
  • Operational Air/Fires Experience (Tactical or Staff)
  • Experience in the development of battle staff training and operations.
  • Experience serving on the staff of a special operations or combat arms battalion, regiment, or brigade.
  • Thorough understanding of Joint Air Operations, with applicable knowledge of aviation and fires platforms, and their employment.
  • Experience leading Marine Corps Planning Process, Military Decision-Making Process, or equivalent planning processes.
  • Experience with tactical C2 and common operating picture systems.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of SOF capabilities, support, fires applications, and operations.
  • Possess an understanding of multi-domain operations.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance with TS/SCI Eligibility, and posses and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Preferred Additional Qualifications: 

  • SOF Fires Experience, with thorough knowledge of SOF specific mission sets.
  • Experience conducting training using simulations, such as Virtual Battlespace 3 (VBS3) or VBS4.
  • Experience working multi-domain and system of systems integration.
  • Experience as a military instructor and additional training as a digital master gunner, battle staff operations, simulation operations, or in command post operations.
  • Experience and familiarity with Joint-C2 and CIP/COP systems.
  • Work experience in planning, development, and execution of a Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) accredited or service level exercise program.
