The Senior Data Analyst, supporting Athlete Analytics, is expected to work on strategic business questions from all teams across the company. Solutioning through these questions involves 1) Wrangling data across the company cloud data store 2) Manipulating the data into a form that can be leveraged for analysis 3) Analyzing the data and identifying trends and insights and 4) Presenting and storytelling to partners, on how they can use the insights to make data driven decisions. This role is very strategic and requires an understanding of automation. We’re constantly in search of how we can better distribute insights out to customers in a self-service fashion. Problem solving, public speaking, and critical thinking, are essential skills for success in this role on the team.
The Senior Analyst supports the Customer (Athlete) analytics portfolio. Under supervision, this individual is responsible for developing strategic analyses and occasional reporting to unearth insights and findings to inform action rooted in data, servicing ad-hoc analytics requests and training users on data/reporting. This team supports customer analysis across the company and works with stakeholders in many different business functions.
Analytics & Testing
With little direction, synthesize myriad data sources into holistic narratives to address business opportunities and strategic direction. Utilize existing reporting systems to create reports, deriving information from multiple sources, to develop cohesive presentation of KPIs that is easy-to-understand and action. Perform and support detailed ad hoc, short-term and mid-term analyses on quantitative and qualitative data to answer business questions and/or help inform strategic direction. With direction, develop statistically sound test designs and lead cross-function groups to implement. Utilize common tools and platforms (e.g. SQL, GCP, Excel), and/or vendor platforms (Facebook, Instagram, DV360) to query, join, extract, and manipulate raw data from disparate sources to tell a comprehensive story with key insights and recommended actions. Stay abreast of industry trends with emerging analytical solutions and tools, competitive landscape solutions and headlines, and drive new analytics initiatives that contribute to business goals.
Business Stakeholder Support
With supervision, develop and deliver ad hoc reports and analyses to business stakeholders, while also serving as subject matter expert around customer lifecycle business metrics and trend interpretations. Lead and support formal and informal training sessions with client groups to enable business stakeholders to answer questions via self-service tools such as Intera (internal BI tool) and PowerBI.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
Preferred Economics, Statistics, Liberal Arts or Related Field
3-5 Years of Experience
SQL, R, Python, experience with BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI); GCP or Azure Experience
