SUMMARY

Allegro Microsystems Inc is currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Test Engineer to join our Test engineering team located in Milpitas, CA. As Sr. Test Engineer, you will develop production test programs and hardware (wafer sort and final test) for our leading-edge magnetic sensor products using Automatic Test Equipment’s (ATE). You should have hands-on experience in debugging production test programs, proficient with mix-signal test methodology concepts, multi-site testing and test hardware development and experience supporting high volume production testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, debug and deployment of wafer sort and final test production test programs for mix-signal magnetic sensor products on ATE platforms.
  • Design multi-site probe cards and final test hardware with active components on-board to ensure device testability.
  • Engage with internal test hardware development group, review and approve test hardware schematics and board layouts.
  • Perform test time reduction, yield improvement and cost reduction activities.
  • Recommend changes required on testing equipment’s, test procedures or test methodologies to improve test quality and reduce cost.
  • Perform statistical analysis of yield data, debug failures and material dispositioning.
  • Require some travel and/or remote support during new product release and sustaining it.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and have at least 5- 10 years industry experience.
  • Prior Test Program development experience on any of the following ATE platforms: Eagle ETS 364 or ETS88, KYEC E320/I1000, ASL1000.
  • Experience in developing ATE test programs using languages such as Visual Basic, C/C++.
  • Excellent analytical and hands-on debugging skills and the ability to proactively solve issues.
  • Experience using lab equipment’s such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators and power supplies.
  • Knowledge of serial interfaces such as I2C, SPI or 1-wire protocols.
  • Experience in developing ATE test programs and hardware for magnetic sensors or any other physical sensors will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis (Six Sigma, Minitab, JMP, Spotfire, etc.), quality and reliability testing.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals, CMOS circuits and test methodologies.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $112,000 - $181,000 and will be determined by related skills, experience, level, qualifications, and market conditions.
