Overview of the job
The role is Site Health, Safety & Environment Leader. Candidate must have Engineering / Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety & Environment Management. RLI-CLI qualified candidates will be preferred
Your Team:
The role reports into the Site TSM and has to directly manage upto 5 people.

Responsibilities of the role
Requires mastery in HSE technologies. Provides support on HSE matters for Engineering and R&D innovation projects and initiatives, provides experienced support to site HSE issues and problems, and supports HSE governance tasks. Responsible for implementing HSE technologies across the site.
Develop and set up occupational Health, Safety & Environment strategies and improvements for site
Design, develop and ensure an efficient and effective HS&E organization. Set department and individual targets aligned with site targets.
Ensure that proper records as per the guidelines of Corporate Safety standards are maintained.
Ensure all Safety Systems and DMS (Daily Management System) in place and implemented with rigor and field via system owners.
Capability building of all contractors and employees for safety and ensure implementation.
To ensure that all incidents are collected and analyzed, and actions are planned and taken to prevent recurrence.
To ensure that best safe work practices are identified and implemented.
To ensure formal reports/reviews of action plans of HSE audits and regular follow up on Internal/External audits
Ensure regular HSE audits are carried out and external audits are coordinated and organized
Ensure risk assessment / hazard risk assessment exercises carried out on defined frequency
Perform environment, social, safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance
Ensure systemic consistency to all Work Permit Systems on Site
Prepare site specific Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment & Environment Aspect
Ensuring adequate Safety and Environmental documentation at site meeting Company, Customer, Statutory and Regulatory requirements and other requirements to which Company has prescribed
Ensure compliance of all legal permissions for site and personnel of the site. Maintain working knowledge of legal obligations under Indian and local authority Environment, Health and Safety law
Acts as champion for the company's health and safety initiative
Evaluation of site subcontractors for their safety and Environmental performance
Financial budget setting and management for the HS&E Dept MOE
Lead and provide overall recommendations to design reviews and change management. Ensures all relevant teams are gathered and actions implemented before start-up.

Job Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience in HS&E and Construction safety management & systems Implementation
- In-Depth Knowledge of HSE Systems & Work processes in FMCG/Industrial Safety
- Good knowledge of HSE documentation & interpersonal skills
- NEBOSH / CSP / IOSH certifications preferred.
- Any key certifications/mastery acquired in HS&E and SCPO areas and demonstrated successfully in previous assignments
- Good Interpersonal skill to keep site HS&E/Site Construction Safety team engaged and energized towards HS&E goals, construction safety goals and business deliver
- Good collaboration skills at all levels (Leadership and shop floor)
- Good use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
