Job Description

 We are seeking an experienced and strategic Government Relations Associate Director to join our innovative pharmaceutical company. This leadership role will focus on developing and implementing government relations strategies that advance our policy objectives while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and a proven track record in advocacy, public policy, and stakeholder engagement.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive government relations strategies that align with our organizational goals and objectives.

  • Build and maintain relationships with government officials, policymakers, and regulatory agencies to influence legislation and policy decisions relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate relevant legislative developments and regulatory changes affecting the industry.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align public affairs initiatives with business needs and regulatory compliance.

  • Represent the company in industry associations, coalitions, and public forums to advocate for our interests.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Public Health, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in government relations, policy advocacy, or public affairs, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and legislative processes impacting the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Languages: English - Fluent / Professional Proficiency

Experience:

  • Experience as people leader - will be considered a plus

  • Demonstrated success in influencing public policy and regulatory outcomes.

  • Experience engaging with government officials at local, state, and federal levels.

  • Previous roles in a similar capacity at a pharmaceutical company or relevant organization (Leadership Team connection)

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities to assess policy implications and develop effective advocacy strategies.

  • Ability to navigate complex political environments and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
