Copywriter | VML Growth Academy – VML KSA

Copywriter roles in Growth Academy are part of a one-year acceleration experience designed to develop the next generation of Saudi talent in the evolving landscape of AI, creativity, and global transformation under VML.

This is not a traditional entry-level role. It’s a structured development journey offering hands-on client exposure, cross-functional collaboration, and 4-month rotations across key departments within the agency.

Your role (Copywriter)

You’ll support the creative team by crafting high-quality, on-brand verbal assets across channels—working closely with Strategy, Account, Social, and Production to help move work from brief → concept → copy → delivery.

In this role, you will:

  • Write and adapt copy for social, digital, presentations, websites, print, and video scripts (as needed)
  • Translate briefs into compelling headlines, body copy, and campaign messaging aligned with brand objectives and tone of voice
  • Contribute to concepting by exploring verbal territories, messaging angles, and storytelling opportunities
  • Prepare copy documents for production and ensure clean, accurate handoffs (formats, versions, brand guidelines adherence)
  • Collaborate across teams to manage feedback loops, revisions, and timelines
  • Support internal brand guidelines, tone of voice guides, and messaging frameworks to improve consistency
  • Use AI-supported tools for research, brainstorming, and initial draft generation where helpful (with human oversight)

Skills & competencies

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:

  • Strong writing fundamentals (grammar, punctuation, style, clarity, conciseness)
  • Attention to detail and strong organization (proofing, editing, consistency in messaging)
  • Confidence working in collaborative environments and taking feedback well
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines
  • Curiosity and learning agility in fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication skills (Arabic & English preferred)
  • Interest in marketing, branding, and digital transformation
  • Tools familiarity: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, collaboration platforms 

Who we’re looking for

  • Saudi Nationals (mandatory)
  • Fresh graduates or early-career professionals
  • Degree in Journalism, Communications, English Literature, Marketing, Creative Writing, or related field preferred
  • Individuals eager to build a long-term career in the agency industry
  • Portfolio: Link or PDF of writing samples

  • One-year contract under VML Growth Academy

  • Mentorship and real client project involvement from day one
