As a Retirement Plan Services Manager, you will work as a first level manager leading a team of associates responsible for providing service and support of our proprietary retirement plan product: Recordkeeper Direct. Under general direction, you will coach, develop, and evaluate the performance of a team to accomplish key goals and objectives .You will provide guidance to associates that support clients and business partners-i.e., participants, plan sponsors, financial advisors, third party record keepers and administrators (TPA), external businesses (e.g., SS&C, Empower), as well as other American Funds (AF) companies) to ensure accurate and timely delivery of service to established plans and maintenance of process and procedures. You will participate in projects and represent RPS in key business initiatives.

 Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring associates provide consistent delivery of superior service across multiple channels to plan sponsors and plan participants.

  • Identifies potential risks and enhancements to improve processes/procedures; escalates issues with analysis and recommendations to senior management.

  • Develops, recommends, and manages new processes procedures and practices within the business group and functional area.

  • Participates in functional area business planning by defining and detailing specific projects that address business needs and gaps and acting as a subject matter expert on the project.

  • Analyzes key business metrics (SLA's, plan assignment, schedule adherence) as they relate to achieving department objectives to influence positive results and service of clients.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key internal and external partners.

  • Collaborates with senior manager to select, develop, and maintain an effective team by demonstrating the Leading Capital framework.

  • You have proven CG management experience.

  • You have in-depth knowledge of retirement plan rules and regulations including recordkeeping operations (preferred, but not required). You're knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the department/ business area.

  • You display a high level of effective planning and managing the work of others.

  • Your intellectual curiosity, analytical skills, and sound judgment drive problem resolution with matters of high complexity.

San Antonio Base Salary Range: $69,072-$110,515

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
