The People Connect & Talent Acquisition Associate is a unique hybrid role which is a member of the People Operations team (known as People Connect Group) as well as Talent Acquisition team within the People Team in Dow Jones. In this role, you will provide HR operational support to employees and managers across the Asia Pacific region, mainly through a self-service ticketing system (SOFI). This role will also support the APAC Talent Acquisition lead in all recruitment coordination activities across the region.
This is a role that requires the ability to problem solve through problem identification (what is the problem), solution assessment (what can be done), problem documentation (document for future) and problem response (implementing a solution).

The role reports into Director, People APAC, based in Singapore as well as Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition based in New York and works closely with the APAC People team across the region.
You Will:
Be the first contact for for HR queries and requests from employees, line managers, HRBPs and Centers of Excellence across the full employee life cycle, including but not limited to, employee onboarding, off boarding, payroll-related queries, benefits, leave of absence, PTO balances, employee care and development
Complete employee transactions across multiple HR systems, ensuring that the centralized HCM (Workday) remains the source of truth and accurate
Understand the whole of HR to know where to transition queries.
Collaborate with other HR teams to recommend enhancements to deliver resolutions
Coach employees on available HR self-service tools to guide efficiency and customer satisfaction
Provide an excellent customer experience and managing to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Work with the Workday Operations Management team, including escalations
Support onboarding of new joiners including document collection and data input
Maintain and process employee records and documents over the employee lifecycle for internal documentation and payroll purposes
Manage scheduling for interviews (in-person or virtual) for candidates, recruiters and team members across the business groups, providing an excellent and seamless candidate experience
Onboard external vendors & process related invoices
Organize all facets of a candidate’s interview process: scheduling interviews (on-site and remote), managing communication workflow, coordinating travel/reimbursement
Support end-to-end new hire process to completion; creating and sending offer letters and contracts, initiating background checks; escalate discrepancies for resolution
Support with the onboarding of new team members, deliver informative sessions, provide ongoing support while upholding the high standards of excellence
Drive and deliver additional projects from time to time that further develop skills and impact
Support, generate and update all reporting templates and needs for the region
You Have:
1 - 3 years hr support/ operation experience
Experience working with contemporary HR Technology platforms (e.g. Workday, JIRA, ServiceNow, automated recruiting tools, ATS)
Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of management
Experience using and maintaining multiple tools such as Canva, Sterling, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Form and Google Sheets
Experience coordinating and performing multiple tasks
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
