As the Senior Manager of Investment Product Strategy, you will lead the product offering, research, and implementation teams. You will oversee the planning and development of new investment products and manage the evolution of existing product portfolios. This role is pivotal in shaping VWS’s investment strategy and delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Leads and maintains the investment product strategy across the business consistent with Vanguard's global product framework. Develops and implements product development strategies, training, tools, processes, measurement techniques, and post-launch analysis. Ensures the thorough and timely execution of the Global Product Plan.
• Develops and implements product research initiatives and agenda. Leads efforts to research and develop strategies to understand competing products in the asset management industry. Collaborates with internal partners to analyze and improve the product lineup. Prepares and presents strategic analysis, findings, and recommendations to senior management.
• Serves as a thought leader in determining optimal product lineups to meet investors' needs. Leads the development and maintenance of a clear investment product strategy across the organization.
• Ensures product range meets regulatory requirements and remains updated according to market needs. Maintains a significant awareness of the market and the impact of future regulatory, technological, and economic developments. Assists in shaping and influencing regulatory issues related to the investment management industry.
• Develops and implements plans to achieve departmental and operational objectives. Collaborates with department leaders in the planning, development, and execution of short- and long-range goals.
• Maintains strong knowledge of industry, market and company trends, and partners with investment and business leaders to understand and develop insights on key concerns and opportunities.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes:

• 10 years related work experience, including 5 years’ experience in product management and investment analysis/strategy.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
• Knowledge of the defined contribution investments market.
• PowerPoint and Writing skills.
• Executive presentation skills.
• CFA preferred.
