Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Corporate team!

As our Accounting Manager you will, be responsible for all segments of the general accounting function either directly or through subordinate supervisors. You will manage the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems, either directly or through subordinate supervisors: Journal entries, General Ledger, Cash, Accounts Payable, various accruals, etc. in accordance with US GAAP and any other applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. You will also design and maintain operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improves efficiency to ensure that the systems of internal and accounting controls are in place and operating effectively. Additionally, you will ensure integrity of data produced into systems and supports objectives of the Business Units and Divisions. You will ensure the accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data and other financial results. You will participate in annual audits and special projects and be responsible for the employment, training, motivation, and evaluation of assigned employees.

Your Challenge

  • Oversees daily activities of the corporate accounting department

  • Assists in Overseeing daily activities of the center of excellence (COE) shared services group.

  • Oversees and assists in the preparation and review of the Corporate accounting ledger and sub-ledger.

  • Directs general accounting activities including prepaids, accruals and corporation allocations amongst other general ledger accounts.  

  • Assists in the development of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to accounting, financial management, and/or budget.

  • Review monthly account reconciliations and workbooks prepared by senior and staff accountants.

  • Coordinates preparation of external audit support and materials as required.

  • Establishes system controls and develops procedures to improve systems. Assists with the maintenance of new and existing accounting systems and other related procedures and controls.

  • Maintains mindset of continuous improvement / business process optimization in regards to processes and technology.

  • Coordinates submissions to the Defense Contract Management & Audit Agencies, including Forward Pricing, Incurred Cost Submissions, and Disclosure Statements in accordance with CAS standards.  Main contact for DCAA audits.

  • Coordinates Management reporting – budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis, departmental spending.

  • Thrives with minimal direction

What You Bring

  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

  • Master’s Degree preferred

  • CPA, CA, CGA, CMA desired

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience

  • 4-6 years of management experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with knowledge of MS Office.

  • Experience with OneStream financial reporting tool

  • Experience with Infor Syteline or similar ERP

  • Experience with Sales & Use Tax desired

  • Experience with DCAA accounting/audits desired
