You will be working on various projects and services that power the core e-commerce engines at Monotype. You will be writing good quality code, review code, design scalable and optimized solutions and drive critical projects to success.

 What you’ll be doing:

• Work in a small scrum team to design and build high-quality customer-facing software.
• Building modular and reusable components and libraries.
• Optimizing application for performance.
• Code profiling.

• Implementing automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows.
• Write unit, functional and end-to-end tests using mocha, chai, sinon, karateJS & codeceptJS.
• Create Documentation (HLD/LLD/ sequence diagrams) to support new feature architecture.
• Gain product knowledge by successfully developing features for our applications.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, peers, and others.
• Strive for continuous improvement in customer experience, tools & processes.
• Co-ordinate with UI UX to convert designs into seamless functional UIs.
• Work with Design Language System to build unified designs across all ecosystems.
• Implement and maintain code architecture and build scalable and robust applications.
• Code reviews and coding best practices.

What we’re looking for:

• 3 - 5 years of development experience developing complex, scalable web-based applications with 1+ year desired in eCommerce/Digital Commerce domain.
• Min 3+ years’ hand-on experience in Vue JS and other frameworks like ReactJS/NodeJS/BackboneJS.
• Experience with building SPA.
• Good HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills with experience in developing applications with responsive design principles, mobile first development and cross browser compatible development.
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
• Proficiency with modern development tools, like Babel and Webpack.
• Experience with GIT, bitbucket, or GitHub and the Features branching workflow.
• Experience with Microservice architecture will be a plus.
• Experienced with working in Agile development environment.
• Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes will be a plus.
• Exposure to Database Systems Mongo, MySQL will be a plus.
• Exposure in test driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Exposure to Amazon AWS services (S3, EC2 etc.) will be a plus.
• Awesome Written and Oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a global and distributed environment with agility to hold communication with different audiences.
• Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean JavaScript code.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structure.
