SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

As a member of the Assembly team, this supports fabrication, assembly, and testing of components and product to warehouse, maintains a safe work environment, focuses on continuous process improvements, enhancement of skills, and function and quality of the product.

REPORTING TO:  

Production Supervisor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare work to be accomplished by reviewing work instructions, specifications and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Identify quality issues notifying supervisor and Quality department documenting actions and participate in the resolution process.
  • Follow all 5S standards ensuring work area is clean and operable
  • Operate various build and test equipment
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of High School Graduate or equivalent
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proven mechanical skills and a high attention to detail
  • Prior experience with high precision assemblies
  • Proficient with a variety of manual and power tools
  • Good hydraulic and mechanical aptitude
  • Exposure in 5S and Lean environment
  • Participation in process improvement projects

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently
  • Possess strong teamwork and positive attitude
  • Adapt and manage change well during peak periods of priority
  • Good judgment and decision making skills
