About This Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic and operational success of the Medical School. Reporting to the School Manager, this role oversees key areas such as operational planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. You will ensure efficient resource allocation, compliance with institutional policies, and the delivery of high-quality administrative support services to advance the School’s goals.
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead operational planning, budgeting, and workforce processes to support the Academy for Medical Education and Mayne Academies.
Improve business systems, streamline processes, and manage change initiatives.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, enhance communication, and oversee events and workshops.
Supervise and mentor the administrative team, fostering a high-performing and positive work environment.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and compliance with mandatory staff training.

The newly established Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences will be an interdisciplinary powerhouse of innovation and collaboration to lead integrated solutions to the needs of the communities we serve locally and globally. About You
Qualifications in business, administration, or a related discipline, and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
Proven expertise in operations management, resource allocation, and financial management, ideally within an academic or educational setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on fostering a supportive and high-performing culture.
Exceptional organisational, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
Knowledge of governance, compliance, and policy frameworks in a university or educational environment.
Ability to manage change initiatives and implement process improvements effectively.
Desirable
Familiarity with University administrative systems, policies, and procedures, or a willingness to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
