What you will do

As part of a cross functional team, the Program Manager will be responsible for improving the user experience and value proposition of Solution Navigator, our e-commerce platform for product selection, configuration, and ordering across all channels for our Controls Products business unit. 

The Program Manager will communicate customer feedback to our internal IT teams in order to ensure Solution Navigator is a tool that continues to differentiate Johnson Controls in the market. 

The role will include leading a team of developers to implement enhancements and bug fixes specific to our project configuration application. In addition, this person will demonstrate enhancements directly to the sales teams and to customers through webinars, email campaigns, and video trainings.

How you will do it

  • Change management leader to drive enhancements and increase adoption rates

  • Indirectly lead Agile team of developers ranging from 3-8 team members by breaking down the features into PBI’s that can be completed in 2-week increments

  • Maintain customer master and product master data across business systems to optimize the customer experience

  • Effectively communicate enhanced features to the sales teams and directly to customers using webinars, emails campaigns, and one-one trainings

  • Drive collaborative efforts between IT, Voice of Customer, and Product Management

  • Establish a technical understanding of the offerings in order to establish credibility with customers

  • Partner with key stakeholders related to securing funding for enhancements with high impact

  • Leverage data collection tools to validate investments and show progress

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum (Engineering Degree highly preferred)

  • Understanding of integrations between business systems such as API

  • General knowledge of business systems such as ERP, CRM, e-commerce platforms

  • Able to lead through influence and have strong teamwork and collaborative skills

  • Ability to learn the HVAC industry related to manufacturing, building systems, and building owner value

  • Proficiency with MS Office programs (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), internet software, cloud based services

  • Travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred

  • Demonstrate a strong capacity to handle uncertainty, incomplete data sets, the continuous overlap between technical and business offerings

  • Excellent presentation skills to C-Suite leadership audience with both internal and external clients

  • Must utilize design & ideation thinking methodology with continuous creative approach to problem solving

  • Data visualization skills using PowerBI.
