Job Description

Interns join a mission where they learn more about how we’ve become one of the most trusted nonprofits brands in the industry.   

ALSAC’s Program offers an immersive experience where interns experience our culture, contribute to organization’s goals through projects, and build relationships with team members and senior leadership. During the summer internship, interns are assigned to a day-to-day manager where they are with provided meaningful assignments. Interns will truly understand what it's like to be a part of the ALSAC/St.Jude. ALSAC/St.Jude was selected as the 100 best internship programs in the U.S. in 2022 by WayUp and Yello. 

  • Start Date: October 11, 2024   
  • End Date: December 30, 2024
  • Hours: 20 hours a week (Monday-Friday)   
  • Pay Rate: Based on work location   
  • Work Location: Nashville, TN (1 Music Cir S Suite 230, Nashville, TN 37203)

Requirements:  

  • A passion for our mission!   
  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. 
  • Must be comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point.   
  • Ability to work in a team environment but also work strong independently.   
  • Ability to be organized and detailed to balance several projects simultaneously.   
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.   
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.   

Specific Internship Description and Preferred Skills: 

Work with the ALSAC/St. Jude Nashville Territory Team and establish skills needed to plan and execute in person and digital fundraising events across Middle & Eastern Tennessee. 

Responsibilities include:  

  • Help with sponsorship and corporate team recruitment for the St. Jude Walk/Run program 
  • Assist with St. Jude Dream Home Campaigns 
  • Assist with all Dinner, Gala, Golf events 
  • Assist with daily tasks  
  • Attend Weekly 1:1 with Intern Manager 
  • Lead a Regional Office staff meeting 
  • Organize pre/post event materials 

Majors preferred: Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business or other related area 

Skills preferred: Social Media, Event Planning, Interpersonal, Communication
