Join us as an International Mobility Team Lead

  • This is a technical role in which you’ll provide specialist international mobility and HR advice and guidance in order to build a proposition and support the bank in the achievement of its people objectives for colleagues moving or travelling internationally
  • Working closely with our HR leadership team, you’ll agree and deliver a fit for purpose HR service catalogue which reflects our priorities and provides leaders with expert advice, counsel, diagnostic analysis, and decision support regarding people plans and strategy
  • This is a remote-first role, so you’ll spend most of your time at home, working with your team digitally and coming into the Manchester office at least twice a month when you need to collaborate closely with your colleagues

What you’ll do

We’ll look to you to implement the people plan to deliver our international mobility strategy. This will involve providing expertise to advise business leaders on accountancy, international tax, organisation design and change, engagement and culture, talent and succession, reward and performance management, capability, and workforce planning.

You’ll engage with stakeholders, peers, and project team resource to successfully deliver outcomes that improve the colleague experience and customer service. You’ll also contribute to both the People functional strategy and business strategy as a member of the relevant leadership teams.

As well as this, you’ll:

  • Maintain industry and legislative knowledge of global mobility practice and managing associated risks, including but not limited to income tax, social security, payroll, employment law, and benefits
  • Translate and deploy the defined People and wider bank strategy into the relevant parts of the business, acting as the key interface into the HR leadership team
  • Manage the international mobility budget, challenging costs relating to our external vendor services and any contract management where appropriate
  • Work closely with our tax providers to ensure compliance is in place
  • Identify, manage, and monitor risks and issues in line with our risk governance
  • Support less experienced colleagues

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for someone with strong experience of people leadership and stakeholder management at all levels. You’ll have excellent communication skills and a track record of working across a large and diverse organisation to establish partnerships globally.

We’re also looking for:

  • The ability to develop business and technical requirements to support the business strategy and drive change activity
  • An understanding of tax, accountancy, and international tax
  • Thorough knowledge of global mobility practices and trends in the industry
  • Thorough knowledge of, and appropriate qualifications in project management or global mobility
