JR62933 TACTICAL DISTRIBUTION PLANNER

The Global Supply Management (GSM) team at Micron is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual for the role of the Tactical Distribution Planner. The role is an opportunity for a motivated individual to utilize his or her analytical, business and process/project management skills to enable Back End Operations by Supporting wafer and component availability on time to meet the build plan.

In this role, you are responsible for making sure the availability of Wafer and component before the start date of production/build to meet accurate promises and profitable delivery dates to the customers. Work with upstream and downstream for seamless execution as well as proactively look for Improvement opportunity. Trouble shoot all system & process related issues along with stakeholders to meet the delivery commitment. In addition, you collaborate with teams through strong partnership and co-ownership in achieving overall company and GSC Performance Indicators, including Wafer offload related metrics, while consistently evaluating opportunities and supporting process updates to improve overall performance.

In this exciting role:

You will drive the build plan adherence by supporting wafer availability on time.
Collaborate with stakeholders to provide resolutions to any IT or process related issues.
Proactively communicate stakeholders of any risk to build plan.
Drive corrective action based on metrics and measures.
Support business decisions in case of allocations
Inventory Optimization by proactively driving Ageing Wafer Disposition plan.
The Tactical Distribution Planning team interfaces activity with various cross functional teams in Micron, including teams from Global Supply Management, Micron External Manufacturing, Logistics, Backend planning and Finished Goods, in order to get promising commitments and build our products on time to meet customer delivery expectation.

A supply chain engineer is an engineering professional who applies the principles of management science, industrial engineering, operations research, and analytics for the design, control, and systems on the business of supply chain management. The work of supply chain engineer also includes collaboration and optimization of supply chain operations with partners and stakeholders, including Sales, Business Unit, Demand Planning, Manufacturing Operations, Procurement, Logistics and Outsource Operations team.
• 25% Manufacturing Engineer, 25% Business, 25% Data Science and 25% Supply Chain Engineering
• Undergrad in Engineering and Masters in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
• Strong analytical, problem solving and cross functional collaboration skills
• Ability to evaluate trade-off and make decision in uncertain environment
