Summary:

In this role, you will use advanced auditing skills and a developed sense of professional skepticism to lead, develop, and execute the compliance audit plan, conduct research and answer complex questions. You will serve as liaison to many stakeholders to resolve complex issues, present recommendations, and provide guidance in selecting alternatives to meet business needs of assigned areas. You will support and embrace a team environment, provide guidance and training to other team members, and handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Internal Controls Compliance (ICC) program, ensuring coverage for relevant financial areas and communication with external auditors, while providing guidance and monitoring of other team members and coordinating work activities with other managers.

  • Analyze and draw conclusions toward compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency of the ICC specific control environment, by preparing workpapers and audit reports that detail findings and recommendations.

  • Facilitate the documentation of all ICC remediation efforts as well as perform testing of remediation activities during and/or upon completion.

  • Leverage technical accounting skills (CPA) to evaluate risk environment for highly complex areas, perform risk assessment, develop testing approach, and execute testing plan for elevated risk areas.

  • Draft audit programs, and draft design development for any internal controls (including ICC), and lead and document (via Visio flowchart) process walkthrough discussions.

  • Lead complex and large scope audit projects independently (e.g., audit program development, analysis, forensic investigation, research, testing, contracts) to identify risks and weaknesses in business processes and control systems while providing guidance and monitoring of other team members.

  • Seek out and bring thought leadership to the organization’s business units and processes.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to; attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Relevant audit certification preferred (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CFE).

  • Applied Knowledge competency level related to IIA Competency Framework preferred.

  • Data analytics experience (e.g., Aqua Data, SQL, ACL, or IDEA).

  • Expert knowledge in several diverse disciplines (e.g., auditing procedures, testing, and reporting, data analysis, internal controls, risk management, and finance and accounting practices and methods).

  • Ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external customers, thriving in collaborative team environment.

  • Solid Excel proficiency utilizing functions and/or relational databases to analyze data and conduct basic data interpretation.

  • Detail oriented, executing tasks in timely manner working independently.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $127,600.00.
