The Challenge

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the pladis WEEM FP&A team where we aim to create a best-in-class FP&A function to drive performance and shape the strategy of our fast-growing business. A real opportunity to create and build the vision for the WEEM FP&A function; implementing new ideas ranging from better insights and analytics to bringing external best practice in to simplifying processes to strengthening FP&A capabilities globally.

The position entails

Reporting to the WEEM CFO – WEEM FP&A and Performance Management, this is a critical and exciting role that will act as the conduit and partner Finance teams across 6 regions globally to lead & drive FP&A processes and help deliver business performance.

It provides a valuable opportunity to interact with the CEO, CFO and members of the pladis Leadership team (pLT).

Your main responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the regional financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain financial models to monitor regional performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with regional business leaders to provide financial guidance and support, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.

What do you bring?

  • Qualified accountant/MBA with 6-9+ years of FP&A and business partnering experience ideally in FMCG.
  • Progressive finance experience and responsibilities including roles in operating business entities and regional/group finance teams.
  • Ability to lead and work in cross-cultural environments, build strong relationships and impact through influence. 
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to get beyond the numbers and the process: able to tell a performance story in a compelling, visual and engaging way that influences business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of Finance systems and processes. Experience in Hyperion and systems change/implementation would be an added advantage.
  • An enthusiasm for seeking out and implementing new ideas, tools and ways of working and challenge the status quo.
