Job Description:


Department Overview The BRR Input Team provides Borrower Risk Rating (BRR) input support for Commercial Banking Centres (CBCs), Mid-Market Agriculture (MMAG) units, TD Equipment Finance, Financial Restructuring Group, Franchise Banking, the Automotive Banking Centers.

BRRIT is responsible for generating model implied BRRs for existing and new borrowers by completing all Moody’s Credit Lens (MCL) inputs, including financial statement input and the input of qualitative assessment.
Years of Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance area
Education Minimum post-secondary education, Commerce or Business Administration degree is a requirement, specialization in accounting or finance is preferred
Job Description
Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to: The Lead Risk Rating Specialist is responsible for:
• Use accounting knowledge, notes to financial statements, and overarching guidelines to correctly assess input values from financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Statement of Cash Flow) of privately held companies to confirm inputs into the Risk Rating model
• Understand intercompany transactions and review intercompany eliminations use to combine financial statements from multiple companies, including complex consolidations
• Be the subject matter expert on the Risk Rating models supported
• Provide guidance to inputter regarding any errors
• Train the Senior Risk Rating Specialists, Risk Rating Specialists, and/or seasonal Contractors
• Effectively communicate with credit adjudicators when there are conflicting views on a set of entries
• Act as a Manager of Duty, which includes operating BRRIT generic email boxes, communicating with internal partners, and monitoring automation process
• Perform quality control review of the Economic Market Value (EMV) spreadsheets
• Assist the Manager, Risk Rating on projects and initiatives, as required
• Assist Managers with hiring and training seasonal contractors in preparation for peak business season
• Perform Queue Management to ensure BRR requests are completed within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets.
• Contribute to a positive and fun work environment.
Job Requirements • Expert knowledge of accounting basics (flows between Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Statement of Cash Flow) and treatment of inter-company eliminations.
• Education or work experience with a specialization in accounting is preferred
• Working knowledge of standard Microsoft desktop software, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word
• Working Knowledge of Moody's CreditLens
• Must possess keen attention to detail
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while ensuring work is of high quality
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent Problem-solving skills
• Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Results oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and inter-personal skills
