Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Lead to oversee and grow the franchise sales division. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and execution of strategies to identify, attract, and onboard new franchisees while supporting existing franchise owners to maximize profitability and success. The ideal candidate possesses strong sales acumen, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the franchise business model. This is a key leadership role that combines sales expertise, relationship-building skills, and business strategy to ensure franchise network growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Franchise Sales and Development:

  • Identify and prospect potential franchisees through multiple channels, including lead generation campaigns, direct outreach, conferences, and industry events.

  • Lead the franchise sales process, including initial engagement, discovery meetings, qualification of candidates, presentation of the franchise opportunity, and deal closure.

  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline of qualified franchise candidates to meet and exceed growth objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with franchise sales regulatory requirements, including maintaining accurate documentation and disclosure compliance (e.g., Franchise Disclosure Documents).

Strategic Growth Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish franchise sales goals, performance metrics, and expansion strategies in existing and new territories.

  • Conduct market research to identify high-potential markets for franchise development and expansion.

  • Develop targeted strategies for engaging potential franchisees in key growth areas.

Franchise Owner Relations:

  • Act as a trusted advisor for franchisees, providing support and guidance during onboarding, training, and business ramp-up phases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing and operations) to ensure franchisees are positioned for success and aligned with brand standards.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing franchisees to foster commitment and long-term partnership.

Sales Process and Optimization:

  • Develop, implement, and continually improve sales processes, including lead qualification criteria, sales scripts, and follow-up methods.

  • Utilize CRM systems to manage leads, monitor sales performance, and provide accurate reporting to leadership.

  • Identify areas for improvement in the franchise sales process and implement data-driven solutions for enhanced performance.

Leadership and Team Building:

  • Mentor and lead franchise sales team members (if applicable), setting clear expectations and supporting their development.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure franchise systems, training, and tools are aligned with successful sales efforts.

  • Serve as a brand ambassador, promoting the organization’s franchise vision and values to both internal and external stakeholders.

Marketing Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with marketing teams to design and implement franchise recruitment marketing campaigns.

  • Co-develop sales materials, presentations, and digital content to effectively communicate the value of the franchise model and opportunities.

  • Oversee key touchpoints in the candidate journey, ensuring cohesive messaging and a compelling candidate experience.

Market Analysis and Competitive Insights:

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and franchising best practices to maintain a competitive advantage.

  • Provide regular market analysis and insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5–10 years of experience in sales, business development, or franchise development, with at least 3 years focused on franchise sales.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

  • Sales Expertise: Proven ability to successfully close high-value deals and manage the full sales cycle.

  • Franchise Knowledge: Deep understanding of franchise operations, franchise agreements, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FDD) is helpful but not required.

  • Leadership and Relationship Skills: Experience leading and coaching sales teams and/or working directly with C-level executives and franchise business owners.

  • Analytical Skills: Skilled at analyzing data and market trends to guide growth strategies.

  • Technology: Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and ability to leverage sales analytics tools to improve performance.

  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and negotiate effectively at all levels.
