What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist to support a complex project providing M&E technical and advisory services to the Department of State. The candidate will contribute to the overall monitoring and evaluation agenda for the client, including the definition and administration of relevant M&E products, development of learning agendas, and monitoring activities in compliance with Department of State policies. The candidate will design and work on M&E related activities as part of a larger M&E team to contribute to the overall M&E support for the bureau.  They will lead the M&E for a portfolio of projects, working directly with government counterparts and implementers.

The candidate will be support the M&E activities as part of a cross functional team, lead and support technical/ management meetings and workshops with clients, and manage the project work plans. The candidate will develop evaluation designs and data collection instruments and processes, manage data management, conduct data collection, review and synthesize documents, and analyze data. The M&E specialist will support the development of tasks and deliverables, and oversee and contribute to team deliverables to include, but not limited to, monitoring and results frameworks, program evaluations, presentations, work plans, and reports.

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • SIX (6) years of relevant monitoring and evaluation experience  


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TOP SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance

  • Experience overseeing M&E teams

  • Experience working with the Department of State

  • Experience monitoring and evaluating foreign assistance programs

  • Experience monitoring and evaluating programs focused on mis/disinformation

  • Demonstrated research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Experience in an international setting

  • Excellent organizational and written communication skills; capability to clearly and succinctly define problems and outline solutions

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Experience with technical writing or report production

  • Experience facilitating multi-stakeholder sessions

  • High proficiency in excel

The annual salary range for this position is $115,200.00-$172,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
