The opportunity

The Brand Marketing Specialist will see an opportunity to change the way content marketing is done in the insurance industry and has the drive and talent to make it happen. As a pivotal member of the team, you will collaborate closely with the Brand Lead to spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive 360 marketing strategies. Your expertise will be instrumental in engaging diverse audiences across multiple platforms, driving creative production, ensuring brand governance, and managing marketing operations. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the Manulife brand and contribute to our corporate social responsibility initiatives. 

Individual Accountabilities:

  • Participate in brainstorms and help develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns 
  • Assist in marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning, etc.) 
  • Liaise with external partners to execute promotional events and campaigns 
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts 
  • Help plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, display ads, etc.) 
  • Assist in analyzing marketing data (reach, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies 
  • Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned 
  • Help grow and maintain a list of vendor contacts 

Key Shared Accountabilities:

  • Performance of brand campaigns in partnership with local teams and cross- functional regional teams.
  • Management and implementation of the Global Brand Strategy

The role directly impacts our Brand Power and Brand Awareness scores by driving the right intermediary KPIs. The role reports to the Head of Brand, Content, & Digital who reports to the Philippines CMO.

What we are looking for

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and proven experience working with such teams to connect content to a company’s digital marketing activity.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing 360 marketing strategies, with a strong emphasis on brand building and creative direction.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to measure, report, and optimize campaign performance against KPIs and ROI.
  • Demonstrated ability to ideate and produce compelling creative content across various formats (e.g., digital videos, articles, ATL/BTL collaterals).
  • Experience in managing brand compliance and ensuring consistency in all marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proven experience in budget management, financial reporting, and vendor coordination.
  • Proactive, innovative, and results-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and marketing innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and creative agencies.
  • Experience in sourcing and managing Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and brand ambassadors.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in brand management roles within an agency and/or a brand. Experience in Financial services (insurance/bank/investments) is a plus provided you can still think outside of the category norm.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
