Job Summary:
The Manager of Provider Recruitment for the Augusta region will work closely with the Executive Director of Provider Recruitment on the development of sourcing strategies to identify and attract a diverse and adequate pool of top level talent for physician and advanced practitioner positions. The Manager of Provider Recruitment assumes responsibility for oversight of daily operations in regards to the identification, screening, interview, hire, pre-employment screening process. Assures WMG Provider Recruitment is legally compliant with policies and laws related to employment. Maintains adequate reports regarding the daily operation of recruitment and effectiveness of recruitment efforts. Maintains up-to-date knowledge on the applicability of regulatory requirements and effectively apply that knowledge to maintain compliance and future the business objectives of the organization. Serves as a resource and mentor to Provider Recruiters and Coordinators in regards to issues with employment, adhering to policies for selection of new hires, post offer requirements, marketing and advertising, opening new requisitions. Assists Director of Provider Recruitment with establishing departmental goals and evaluating performance, making recommendations on personnel actions and monitoring and taking action for quality improvement and optimal performance results. Assists Director with creating and implementing a marketing and recruitment budget. Leads global or local recruitment projects to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment team. Develops and maintains effective partnerships internally with all members of the Operations Team, Credentialing Team, Practice Administrators and Senior Leadership. Serves as positive role model and advocate for WellStar Health System with communications and actions across the system
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
General Management Responsibilities
- a.Consults with leaders to understand staffing requirements of the facility
- b.Works with Director of Provider Recruitment to develop and implement budget, marketing strategies, general recruitment policies and strategic initiatives for optimal recruitment efficiency
- c.Builds culture of positive relationships between recruitment and hiring managers. Assists recruiters with issues involving manager relationships and staffing
- d.Establishes and maintains proactive relationships with management staff, department heads and WMG senior leadership. Maintains a presence at sites to assure that leaders feel support and service from the Provider Recruitment team
- e.Functions as a liaison be Recruiter and Director of Provider Recruitment regarding staffing strategy, issues and facility needs
- f.Analyze metric data to identify trends in recruitment data specific to site vacancy and turnover rates. Assures appropriate data is maintained for recruitment activities
- g.Develops and implements physician candidate sourcing plan. Oversees candidate sourcing, database management and follow-up
- h.Oversight of daily operations of recruitment activities. Serves as a check and balance for all recruitment related projects and priorities in relation to department staffing. Directs the way communication, in regards to recruitment, is delivered to departments
- i.Mentor, lead and motivate direct reports through the setting of realistic stretch performance and development goals
- j.Ensure goals and objectives are aligned with the overall strategic objective of the recruitment team, WMG and the System
- k.Provide performance feedback and conduct evaluations Active Recruitment Function
- a.Source, identify and contact targeted physicians and advanced practitioners through internet, journal advertising, job fairs, specialty conferences, direct mail, networking and database searches
- b.Responsible for maintaining job postings on internet sites for designated specialties and/or association
- c.Act as a liaison with candidate and practice regarding contractual, credentialing and provider orientation
- d.Maintains database of all candidate information
- e.Attend job fairs and conferences to secure contacts for recruitment needs Regulatory Compliance
- a.Assures job postings are maintained using EEOC standards
- b.Assures candidates are screened based on job requirements
- c.Assures required education, license, certification are provided and documented
- d.Assists recruiters with interpretation and implementation of HR policies related to staffing
- e.Interprets policies and procedures, EEO and fair employment practices Miscellaneous Duties
- a.Provides education to Recruiters and other staff regarding recruitment and employment topics
- b.Participate in job fairs, conferences and other recruitment events to represent WellStar in a positive and professional manner
- c.Participate in committees and work groups as assigned
- d.Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Marketing or other related discipline from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education Required
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Additional License(s) and Certification(s):
FASPR (Fellow of Association of Staff Physician Recruiter) Upon Hire Required
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years in recruiting, preferably with a focus on in house physician recruitment.

Must have exception organizational, strong analytical/critical thinking and interview skills.
Must have demonstrated knowledge of provider recruitment strategies and methods.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and maintain excellent customer service.
Must be familiar with employment law, recruitment, performance review programs and progressive counseling.
Must be able to handle matters in a discrete and confidential manner.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
