FS Investments is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner responsible for driving the strategic HR agenda and people processes to enhance employee and business performance. This role combines “hands-on” day-to-day operational human resources functions with strategic client advice.
The successful candidate is expected to:
Drive and implement human resources policies, programs and practices that foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness and that align with business strategies in the following areas:
Talent Management:
- Lead recruiting efforts for the assigned client groups.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify and evaluate talent.
- Counsel managers and staff on development opportunities and advancement, as well as organizational development, training, and programs to support firm initiatives.
- Facilitate leadership development and key talent retention efforts, collaborating with the management team to develop processes that engage and inspire employees at all levels.
- Work with managers to effectively diagnose organizational issues and partner to solve them.
- Provide developmental coaching to all levels.
- Manage organizational design/re-design projects and facilitate related change management.
- Drive annual workforce planning for the assigned client groups.
Employee Relations:
- Provide advice and consultation to managers and employees regarding employee relations matters, including performance management, corrective action, policy interpretation and compliance, and compliance with local, state, and federal employment and labor laws.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues through effective and objective investigation processes.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, performance interventions, job design, and employee relations) to optimize employee performance.
Policies and Procedures:
- Proactively stay informed of human resources trends and best practices and how these can benefit the organization.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and policies related to management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Remain informed of all applicable laws and regulations and how they will impact our current employment policies and procedures.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Business Administration, HR, or Industrial Psychology is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of HR Business Partner or HR Generalist experience, ideally in the financial services industry.
- Deep HR competence and demonstrated ability to influence and partner with managers on execution of complex HR issues such as talent acquisition and development, learning and development, and employee relations.
- Proven track record in driving change to help execute on key business initiatives.
