About the team + role

The Robinhood comms team is on a mission to drive the conversations that define Robinhood for the world. The Product Communications team supports the launch and promotion of new features and services, while actively defending Robinhood’s public story and image.

Robinhood is hiring a Manager to join our Product Communications function and be responsible for delivering exceptional media results focused on our technology, services, and products. You'll help craft the media narrative behind our core products and technology across Robinhood Financial, Robinhood Crypto, and beyond. You’ll be adept at bringing colleagues together across product, marketing, and brand to capture the imagination of customers and drive awareness and participation. You'll explore innovative ways to tell our story through tech, business, and financial press, finding new ways to reach people, help them see themselves as investors, and understand Robinhood’s suite of products and services. This role reports to our Head of Product Communications.

What you’ll do

Join the team responsible for driving conversations with media and amplifying the Robinhood narrative through products and services. You will:

  • Work cross-functionally to develop PR strategies that amplify integrated campaigns with Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, and other teams
  • Develop and execute PR strategies for product launches that build on the Robinhood brand narrative
  • Manage proactive news engine across all media verticals and reactive inbound media inquiries
  • Coordinate press briefings, media tours and events, and create press materials including blog posts, media pitches, FAQs and fact sheets
  • Work closely with Compliance and Legal regarding all aspects of your role

What you bring

  • 8+ years of direct experience in public relations and communications
  • A track record of launching products to tech, finance and business media, and building close relationships with press
  • Product PR experience such as developing campaigns, launching new products and services, managing product reviews, and building media strategies
  • Crisis management experience and proven ability to earn trust with key internal stakeholders
  • Agency management experience

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
