As a Business Analyst you will proactively assist the back-office business area (Finance, Accounting, Legal and IT) in identifying and improving efficiencies to help strengthen operating expense processes and develop reporting and analysis that gives real transparency of results.

How you will make a difference:  

• Be a key business liaison to a range of non-financial and operational staff within the back-office of the company
• Providing monthly draft and final financial operating expense data to various departments
• Assist Accounting with follow-up comments, analysis, investigations, and invoice support regarding monthly financial operating expenses from the departments’ reviews
• Analyse year-to-date operating expenses to ensure correct coding and identify any missing expenses
• Review current month operating expenses vs budget, forecast, and prior year operating expenses to develop variance comments for board deck slides
• Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested from the departments

What will make you stand out:   

• Strong communication skills are key. Being able to display and explain financial results to areas of the back-office business and their impacts.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• A bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or a related field
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of SUN (Saphire) accounting software or similar
