YOUR TEAM

Nuna IT is the facilitator between business operations and technology: architecting, deploying, and operating corporate systems and services. We are responsible for the productivity of all employees, respond to support requests, and proactively pursue opportunities to improve Nuna’s operations through technology. Our reach spans the entire company, but we work particularly closely with Security, HR, and Workplace management.

YOUR IMPACT

This role will contribute to Nuna’s success by ensuring a reliable and secure computing environment, managing hardware and software lifecycles, and working directly with employees to provide a seamless experience. This role includes a strong focus on identifying and automating operational workflows into self-service processes.

YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

  • Collaborate with others and serve as the point of contact for technical support through incoming helpdesk requests
  • Increase company productivity and security by installing, modifying, repairing, organizing, and maintaining an inventory of computer hardware and software (we are primarily a macOS environment, with cloud-based Linux systems, and a handful of Windows systems)
  • Guide customers through the problem-solving process using creative diagnostic techniques and a patient, helpful attitude
  • Increase cross-team knowledge by developing and improving IT documentation
  • Provide excellent user experiences during onboarding and offboarding
  • Collect and communicate employee feedback and identify and participate in department improvement efforts
  • Implement creative solutions to new IT challenges
  • Manage the corporate network and VPN solutions
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual toil by automating existing workflows and create new self-service capabilities throughout the company
  • Increase cross-team knowledge by developing and improving IT documentation
  • Mentoring, both as a mentor to others and learning from experienced colleagues

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Certificates in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software
  • Proficiency researching difficult problems and determining the best course of action
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and time-sensitive requests - the Nuna IT approach is "let's figure out how to get the result you are looking for"
  • Experience working with employees and executives in remote locations
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and easily
  • Experience leading projects and following through on requests, knowing when to escalate or ask for assistance
  • Proficiency in prioritizing and fulfilling multiple concurrent requests
  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting macOS and Windows
  • Experience with at least 1 scripting language (e.g. Python, Javascript, Bash, Ruby, etc)
  • Familiarity administering productivity tools like Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, FreshService (ticketing), Kandji, or similar services
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts for troubleshooting
  • Understanding of security concepts (ACLs, file permissions, etc)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, a closely related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with office Audio Video systems
  • Experience supporting offsite company events
  • Experience managing services like Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Box, or similar
  • Experience managing endpoints via MDM like Kandji, Intune, JAMF, or similar
  • 3-5 years of network administration or system administration experience
  • Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux
  • Proficiency in a command-line environment
  • Experience working with REST APIs

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $96,000 to $ 117,000. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
