Job Description:

Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsible for definition, guidance and execution of product-related activities for a particular portfolio through the entirety of product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap definition to development and market readiness. Sets business objectives for the product development process and oversees execution, internal or external, as necessary. Supervises product managers and product owners. Works with minimal supervision.

 

Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within the teams you oversee.

 

Responsibilities 

·       Lead design, development and implementation of new product strategy to support both domestic and international partners.

·       Grow existing and/or build new product portfolio(s) through new value added features and functionality release and enhanced customer experiences.

·       Stay up to date on latest trends, provide product vision and direction to a team of product managers and product owners.

·       Closely liaises with internal stakeholders to deliver on shared goals and priorities.

·       Drive delivery via internal technology teams and vendors.

·       Be a problem solver- this role will be responsible for a lot of problem solving.

 

Minimum Qualifications 

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you: 

·       Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, or related field 

·       6+ years of experience in Product Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Payments, Technology Solutions or Related 

·       2+ years of experience in People management, or related experience

·       In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Payments, Technology Solutions or Related

 

Preferred Qualifications 

If we had our say, we’d also look for: 

·       8+ years of experience in Product Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Payments, Technology Solutions, or Related

·       2+ years of understanding of payment transactions, trends in authentication and transaction security, 3DS, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), PSD2 

·       2+ years of experience as a people leader 

·       Demonstrated ability of driving outcome in complex cross-functional environments, ability to commercialize payment tech products in a global environment 

·       Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors, partners, and perform vendor management activities 

·       Experience in influencing industry standards such as EMVCo, USPF by championing the voice of customers 

·       1+ year in consulting or client facing solution designing, or product market delivery roles

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
