Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking to welcome a Pipeline Project Engineer – College Graduate to the VG Pipeline Team. The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented engineer motivated to learn pipeline systems and pipeline engineering design, while assisting with execution during construction. This person will experience working in both an office and field/site environment, rotating through multiple roles, including pipeline design, construction, commissioning, and operations. The candidate will work alongside the current VG Pipeline team to support ongoing and upcoming projects and will have robust career development support under senior engineers in the group. 

Job Role Responsibilities:

Candidate will develop knowledge and experience on Venture Global LNG pipeline projects and will be assigned tasks, including but not limited to:  

  • Provide oversight for EPCM and Construction Contractors
  • Review and comment on Engineering deliverables, plans and procedures including pipeline, Meter Stations, and compressor stations
  • Review and comment on Construction Contractor plans, schedules, and procedures
  • Provide project management support to Venture Global pipeline projects as needed
  • Support other functions with permitting, planning and execution activities
  • Prepare reports, assist with presentations related to the pipeline projects
  • Act as owner’s engineer / Owner representative as needed
  • Support review and approval of Contractor invoices, change orders and schedules
  • Preparation of Hydrostatic Test Letters and review of test packages
  • Assist with cost estimates and cash flows
  • Assist with development of Task Orders
  • Assist with site audits and field visits
  • Support PHMSA and FERC visits and data request

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical) graduating in spring/summer 2024
  • Internship experience working as an Engineer on pipelines, processing facilities, or gathering is a plus. 
  • Office location is in Houston, TX. Texas/Louisiana based applicants preferred. Ability to travel as needed to project site in East Texas and Louisiana (50-75% travel)
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Application Suite
  • Familiarity with ASME, API and NACE/AMPP recommended practices
