Shift: This role is 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM-3:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $22.55 an hour + $0.50 shift differential

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Safety, demonstrated behaviors in support of company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries.  This includes driving results though behavioral observations, participation in SRC and daily trainings
  • Learn, understand, and train line personnel on Daily Management Systems (DMS) to include understanding use of Health Checks to drive results.
  • Collaborate with other line CPS Coordinators and Pillar owners in the development and deployment of CPS and DMS work.
  • Be able to work with and become proficient in the use of MS Office programs, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Assists supervisors, operators and mechanics with all equipment troubleshooting and with urgency around keeping equipment up and running
  • Monitors, instructs and teaches CPS and other work systems to mechanics and where required provides coaching to close the gaps in understanding.  Will lead or participate in improvement initiatives and teams, to include 5S, SRC, BDAR, Kaizen, etc. 
  • Drive 5S, housekeeping and GMP, especially as it relates to tools, shop and equipment, and equipment repair.
  • Ensure their team members are on-time to and from work, lunches, breaks, etc. Coaching and discussions around team building are expected.  Resolution to correction of these issues would be expected in all cases.
  • Flexible and will go to where the need is for them and attend meetings as needed.
  • Models exemplary behavior that supports sound business and ethical standards.
  • Supports and coordinates activities in other areas and other shifts.
  • Assist in conducting line capability and/or loss studies for identified areas.
  • Assist in facilitating training to assigned teams for key problem solving/FI methodology tools.
  • Serves as an operator-trainer.  Responsible for coaching and training new operators, and providing refresher training/assisting existing operators.
  • Communicates effectively (including reading, writing, computer).  Prepares and leads meetings as needed.
  • Ensures accurate downtime reporting within LEDs.
  • Work Closely with Line personnel and maintenance in to create a bridge of understand and cooperation.
  • Receive additional training as needed to perform duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties that the Team Leader may require.
  • The ability to interact effectively and professionally with coworkers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment for 6+ months

Preferred:

  • A previous member of a CPS Pillar or other Continuous Improvement team activities.
  • Experience working in a food processing or packaging environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Programs
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Leadership experience either in manufacturing environment or military

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sit, stand, walk and climb stairs during time on duty
  • May be subject to blood borne pathogens and other infectious illnesses, occupational hazardous materials and associated protective activities and donning personal protective equipment
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate monitoring equipment required
  • Physically able to respond timely to emergency situations at facility
