Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

Welcome! As a Photo Overlay Scribe Engineer - DRAM at Micron, you will have the outstanding opportunity to solve critical lithography scribe challenges for memory devices. This role is central to ensuring detailed photolithography processes and supporting the photolithography team in Boise. You will engage in modeling to support optical simulations, provide mark design recommendations, identify root causes for sophisticated problems, and deliver simulation training for other engineers. Additionally, you will define and lead bold projects to address photolithography performance gaps on current and future DRAM.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the technology challenges in regard to overlay and establish a time line for the N, N+1, and N+2 nodes.
  • Attend vital area and part type meetings to understand the part, and look for areas where photo can contribute to improving overlay from a scribe design perspective.
  • Work with vendor applications teams to find areas for overlay scribe improvement.
  • Advance concerns regarding scribe support and resources to management, including PI, vendors, Central Teams, HVM, and other process development teams within F4.
  • Drive technical innovation as a recognized Micron authority in your field.
  • Standardize methods and procedures across areas, departments, and/or FABs.
  • Lead sophisticated, multi-disciplinary projects critical to Micron’s overlay scribe roadmap.
  • Support ongoing assigned projects with process development engineers on overlay-related issues and projects.
  • Summarize plans, progress, and concluded work in written reports.
  • Provide advice and counsel to senior management on significant technical issues related to overlay scribe.
  • Build strong customer relationships to understand customer expectations.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of lithography and familiarity with integration is a plus.
  • Confirmed background in overlay and detailed understanding of how lens aberrations, scanner chuck differences, and process variations can affect overlay.
  • Solid background in optics and understanding of photolithography and optical metrology principles.
  • Knowledge of various alignment and overlay marks, such as IBO and DBO, and their impact on overlay errors and non-zero offsets (NZO). Experience with overlay mark simulation software (D4C or MTD) is helpful.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with multi-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with the architectural structure of Micron’s memory products and semiconductor process flows.
  • Strong interest in research and development and the ability to build production-worthy technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
  • 3 years of semiconductor lithography experience.
